Phone Skills for Seniors — What to Learn First
8 September 2026 · 3 min padhai
The phone skills for seniors that matter most: finding photos, sending a PDF, saving files to Drive and keeping passwords safe. Simple steps, 5 languages.
Four skills that cover most daily needs
You do not need fifty skills. Four cover nearly everything: find a photo, send a document, save a file where you can find it again, and keep your passwords safe.
Once those four are comfortable, banking apps, hospital reports, school forms and travel tickets all become ordinary work.
Skill 1 and 2 — find a photo, send a document
Photos live in the Gallery or Google Photos, and you can search them by typing a place, a month or a person. Documents do not live there — they sit in Downloads or in the File Manager. Remembering that one difference saves hours.
To send a document on WhatsApp, tap the paperclip, choose Document, then Browse other docs and pick your file.
Skill 3 and 4 — save safely, sign in safely
Google Drive keeps a copy of anything important, so a lost or changed phone does not mean lost papers. And a password manager means you stop writing passwords in a diary.
All four skills are covered step by step in the 12 lessons — with pictures, in your language.
